              Friday- July 9th Friday Night Lights Takedown Tournament

                 John Burns Park- Merrick Rd. 1 Block East of Massapequa HS

 

Last year tournament was a huge success. We expected 100 wrestlers,  we got over 400 from ages 5-50.

 

Last year's tournament was a terrific & enjoyable evening for everyone, we had to apologize to all who had to wait hours to complete their pool.

 

We are better prepared this year because of last year tremendous turn-out. We have made the following improvements from last year tournament.

1.    Earlier Registration Times

2.    Earlier Start Times

3.    Computerized Registration

4.    Six Competition Mats

5.    Full Concession Stand

6.    Change of Field to the Soccer Field with better seating for the 2000 fans we had attend last year

7.    Addressing nighttime Dampness with Fans, Surface padding and dry mopping after each contest.

 

Pre-registration would be helpful.   If you are uncertain, please send in an application anyway without paying the fee.  It will help us tremendously in our preparation for a fun evening.

The Park has many activities for you and your family to enjoy including, tennis, deck, tennis, basketball, softball and a children's park with recreation equipment and benches.
